KRAZY couple of weeks!!

WOW...we have been BUSY! Here is a quick recap of January. I hope I dont bore you with too many photos!!

We ventured up to Flagstaff for about 4 days a couple weekends ago to visit friends and experience SNOW! It was so much fun! I am bummed we didn't take more pictures of all the friends we were able to see, but here are some of Keaton in the snow for the first time! He loved it...except when he was too cold!!

There were these stairs that had snow and ice covering them, so we turned it into a slide and Keat LOVED it!

This was the BEST we could do for a family shot! This is the fireplace inside the hotel. Lilee was screaming, Keat was squirming, Seth is slouching, and I look like a stiff robot pose!

Oh well!

While we were there, we hung out and had a Wii bit of fun with the Oldroyds!! We just adore them and their cute, BIG, family! We are also excited to announce that they will be picking up their SON, JD, from Guatemala in about 4 weeks! YEAH!!!! Luke will be coming a bit later, and we will be praying until he is home with them safely!! Congratulations Becky and Dave on your new ADORABLE addition to the family.

We also were reunited with some friends from college, Kristi and Jonathan Thom and Katherin Stapely! It was SUCH fun to hang out with them and catch up! We enjoyed showing off all of our precious children! Thanks again for meeting with us!! It was a blast!

Isn't it funny the lengths you will go to when you have kids. After the first day of NO NAPPING, we decided we HAD to get Keat to nap or our whole trip would be a disaster, so we DROVE TO SEDONA AND BACK, without stopping, just so he could nap in the car for a good hour and a half. It worked and he woke up from his nap in time to stop by the train station and watch a real "CHOOCHOO TWAIN" whistle by. I have never seen a boy shake so badly. At first we thought he was just so excited to see a train speed by 10 feet in front of him, but then we realized the whistle was scaring the pants off the kid. We quickly covered his ears and by the time the whistle stopped blowing he was ready to watch the rest of the 50 or so train "cars" go by! It was fun.

We also saw our good friend, Tyne, who again watched our kiddos one night so we could go out to a fancy shmancy dinner(sushi). She's doing great and we are all holding our breath that one day we can call her "family'! ;);) We love you Tyne!

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION:

While we were in Flagstaff, I celebrated my 26th birthday! Wahoo! :) I am officially at the age where birthdays are just another day! We went out for sushi with the Oldroyds that night! It was so fun to experience sushi "virgins". We hope we didn't scare them off with our soft shell crab or eel!! We ended the evening with ADORABLE flower cupcakes(thanks Bek) and another round of the Wii! OH, and I got a great massage from my hubby!

We were supposed to celebrate with the Francois' the Wed. before our trip, but after throwing up EVERY 45 minutes for 28 hours STRAIGHT, I decided dinner didn't sound too great!! So, we rescheduled for the following Wed. We met my fam and friends, Riss and Doug, at the California Pizza Kitchen! Yummmmo!! It was delicious and so great to be with such great family and friends!

That night, THANKS TO THE SUPPORT OF RISS, we went and got our baby girls EARS PIERCED!! OH MY GOODNESS...she is adorable!! I have ALWAYS wanted to do this because getting my ears pierced was SO tramatic. I had NO idea she would look as cute as she does...perhaps I'm a bit biased!! She of course cried, but she was a trooper and as soon as I picked her up she was over it! She was sure to give me a good grumpy face for a couple minutes, but she hasn't even noticed them since!

Our final birthday celebration was with the Beckers this past Sunday night. We had a yummy dinner that I requested...chicken in a bisquit!! YUMMMMMMM!!! Thanks everyone for making such a great meal!! It's so nice to have such close family to celebrate altogether! We finished the meal off with a delicious texas sheet cake(thanks Amie).

My loot!! This year I picked my own birthday present out from Seth!! Right after Christmas there was a sale and I just had to have it!! I have been lusting after a diamond band pretty much since we got married. So, I found a VERY affordable one and Seth got it for me!! I love it! NOW, I just have to get my other band UNsatered(don't know how to spell that) and we'll be good to go!! Sorry no picture, maybe I'll try soon! My family gave me spending money and a WHOLE DAY OF BABYSITTING!!! I haven't used it yet, but I can't wait!! From the Becker's I got tons of new CD's and movie passes(with popcorn and soda), some perfume and beauty stuff, AND....

A CHI!!!

YEAH for a new straightener!! I can't wait to use it!! I love my CHI!!!

So, that has been our month!! It's almost over and next month will likely be just as krazy!! My baby will be TWO!! YIKES!!:) Until then...thanks for reading!!:)

President Gordon B. Hinckley

While I know I need to update on all the fun things we've been up to...my heart has been so heavy today that I find the need to dedicate a special post to our beloved Prophet,

SALT LAKE CITY 27 January 2008 President Gordon B. Hinckley, who led The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through twelve years of global expansion, has died at the age of 97.President Hinckley was the 15th president in the 177-year history of the Church and had served as its president since 12 March 1995.The Church president died at his apartment in downtown Salt Lake City at 7:00 p.m. Sunday night from causes incident to age. Members of his family were at his bedside. A successor is not expected to be formally chosen by the Church’s Quorum of the Twelve Apostles until after President Hinckley’s funeral within the next few days.

I am so grateful for this man! After hearing of his passing last night, I have been filled with such a different kind of sadness. How can you be sad for a man who has devoted his life to Heavenly Father and is MOST DEFINATELY reaping the rewards now?! Some have described it as bittersweet, and I would have to agree. The world is going to miss this Man of God and will remember all that he has done for it.

I have thought so much of his reunion with his love, his wife Marjorie Pay Hinckley. What a sweet sweet reunion that must have been.

President Hinckley was the only prophet I have ever known. After being baptized in 2000, I have grown to deeply love this man and admire and cherish all that he has taught me. I will miss him and hope to live my life as he did, dedicated to God and family!

I'm so grateful for a Gospel that ensures that we will be with our families forever and will see those we love again! What a blessing!

TAGGED!

What is his name? Seth Michael Becker...Sethee-Poo

How long have we been married? 4yrs 6months...WOW, time flies when you're having fun!

How old is he? 27

Who eats more?We can both throw down when we want to...but I would say Seth eats more consistently! Although if we're talking ice cream, I win that war every time!!

Who said I love you first? I did...New Years Eve in Benson!! Seth took one WHOLE week to figure it out too, and we met back at college in Flagstaff with him spouting his love for me also! ONE WHOLE WEEK!! Mannnn, he owes me!!:)

Who is taller? Seth, but not by much. He says he is 5'9 and three quarters, so he rounds up to 5'10...I think he's a solid 5'9!! Good thing is I never have to wear heals again!!:)

Who sings better? This would be SETH...he doesn't think he can sing, but he can!! Maybe I should call the ward choir directer and let them know...hmmmmm!!

Whose temper is worse? ME! I go from 0-60 in .2 seconds flat! I "react" first before thinking things through. Seth just hangs in there and waits for me to figure out what is really wrong and then we get through it!! What a guy, huh?!

Who is smarter? ABSOLUTELY SETH! He would go to school forever if he could get paid for it! He always astounded me in college with how hard he worked and how good he was to not do homework on Sundays. Even today, he has an amazing intellect!!

Who mows the lawn? My Seth-ee-poo!

Who pays the bills? Seth makes the money, I try to get the bills out on time...which reminds me....:)

Who does the dishes? Both of us...Seth would disagree...but we both do. It's just the one thing that if he is going to ask what I need help with, I choose the dishes...I HATE THE DISHES!!

Who cooks dinner? I do. I'm getting better at doing it more often and with more variety. We made a plan a while back that he would cook once a week, but apparently that hasn't taken effect yet!!:)

Who drives when you are together? Usually Seth. I jump in the seat every so often though.

Who is more stubborn? I think I am probably more stubborn, but to be honest we both don't really have a problem with this.

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? This would be me...but I have to with how quickly I react to things! Seth does it, but he doesn't have to very often!

Who has more friends? I do...but now that we are married, I guess we both have the same ammount! I'm very "social"...Seth laughs that I always have to have something going or planning something...it's true!

What a YEAR...what BLESSINGS

Well...Christmas is officially over in the Becker House! Kinda sad, but mostly FANTASTIC to get the tree out and the decorations down. I still cannot believe it is actually 2008...amazing!

I also cannot believe I will soon have a TWO YEAR OLD!!

Where did my baby go?

He's grown into such a cute little man with a personality of his own and enough energy to drain THREE of me!!:) I wouldn't have it any other way though. Perhaps my greatest joy has been watching him interact with his baby sister!

He adores her and there is no one on the earth that she is happier to see than him. I look forward to a great relationship between these two....the best of friends.

I'm sure there will be LOTS of arguing and bickering also...but mostly just love.

It has been such a blessed year...a blessed life...truly I do not know if I deserve the things that Heavenly Father has bestowed upon me.

MOTHERHOOD...what a joy!

I have found my best friend and he sleeps beside me each night...true love!

Friends that would jump through hoops for me...of course I'd return the favor anytime...happiness!

A faith that, though small, could move mountains...and a testimony of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

He is my rock...He is my strength...He is the reason for my beautiful blessed life! I am so grateful...so humbled...and so in love with my simply krazy life!! I wouldn't change anything about it and I would ask that all those I know could be blessed with the same kraziness!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

WOW...you'd think with Seth home for ELEVEN whole days I'd have time to post some photos...but it isn't until he goes back to work that I have even a few minutes to get anything on here! SORRY!

Well, our Christmas was FANTASTIC! We were truly blessed to spend the Holidays HEALTHY and HAPPY! You can't really ask for more than that! Of course getting a Wii has added some fun memories as well!! Thanks to all our friends and family that made this Christmas so wonderful! Here are some of the photos!

I MADE matching PJ bottoms for the whole family! (THANK YOU LINDSEY) It was a lot of fun to do and I am so proud of myself! Not bad for NEVER sewing before...at least they RESEMBLE pants!!
