Keat and I had some fun today with his "bungkin"!! (Thanks for the great idea Natalie) It was hard getting him to STOP, but mommies are creative when it comes to clean-up!!

well...almost!!

We had our BECKER FAMILY HALLOWEEN PARTY on Saturday. It was a blast and the kiddos were OH SO CUTE!! We played games, ate LOTS of candy, and enjoyed eachother's company!

Here is Keat dressed up as the Frog Prince...we didn't quite get the crown together yet...but it will come!! Have you EVER seen a handsome-er frog in your life??

And here is Miss Lilee as the Frog Prince's PRINCESS!! What a doll...mommy custom made her tiara...tutu cute!! This picture truly doesn't do her justice...she is such a pretty little lady...of course I am a bit biased!!

Miss Lilee was a smiling princess today!! She's given us the random smiles here and there since she was born...I know everyone is thinking--it's GAS!! However, today she smiled when we were playing with her. She did it over and over for about 2 minutes...so unless we have an EXTREMELY GASSY little girl...we're counting this as her first smile...although now the hard part is getting it for the camera!! I'll do my best...pictures to come soon!!

Pumpkins, Pictures, and STREP?

Well...that is how our weekend went!

On Saturday morning, grandma Francois, Uncle Steve and Carsten all came to play with Keat at the Estrella Mountain Pumpkin Festival. It was SO fun...although Keat was exhausted by the time we made it there!

Here is a booth where they were pulled down a hill by these gracious boys. He was SUPPOSED to sit up and hold on...he decided it was a nice time for a nap!! Krazy kid:)

The kids were supposed to run back up the hill at the bottom...this POOR kid had to drag him back up because he wouldn't get off!!

Getting some sound advice from big cousin Carsten!! What a huge help he was!! He takes GREAT care of Keat and is such fun to play with!

Then, we were able to finally get some good pictures of Lilee for her birth announcements. Here are some of our favorites...

Soooooo, our fun fun weekend...ended on Sunday night when Keat got a high fever. At first, it was in the 101's, then, the 102's, and by morning...after a VERY sleepless night, it was in the 103's. It was time to call the dr. So, Seth stayed home to help out and we headed in. OF COURSE, by the time we got there, he was laughing and playing like nothing was wrong. We were sure she was going to send us home and say it was nothing. BOY WERE WE WRONG! The poor kid has STREP THROAT!! He has never been sick with something like this. He had RSV last year, but after a bit of sluggishness, he was really okay. The poor kid is MISERABLE!! I have never had strep so I really don't know how bad it is...but just by looking at him you can tell he is sore. SOooooo, we are now on amoxicillin (how do you spell that?) which he HATES. I swear if our neighbors could see through the window when I give him the stuff...they'd call CPS on me...it's a battle to say the least. Thank goodness he is no longer contagious...now we just have to choke down the meds for 9 more days.

WOW, I am just a major poster today. This blogging thing IS pretty addictive! Well...I just wanted to add some photos of Lilee and Keaton from today. We are TRYING to get some good shots of Lilee for her birth announcement, but are having some issues...the main one being we are too busy!! NEways...here are some cute ones.

And here is Keat's latest trick!! He LOVES this swing and wants to be pushed ALL THE TIME!! Well, because it is either too hot, Lilee is needing me, or I'm not appropriately dressed to be outside(I'm sure all you moms know what I'm talking about), he has figured out how to have fun WITHOUT ME!! He's DEFINATELY our little dare devil!

Well, we made it!! I took my first outting today with both Keaton and Lilee. We met some dear friends from Flagstaff at the zoo. It was an adventure...one I was grateful to have help with...but we made it!! The kids especially loved the splash pad and got soaked...sorry Bek for the drenched kiddos...maybe that wasn't the BEST idea!! :) Keaton learned how to "CHIRP" like a bird and loved having the girls(Kara and Faith) to run around with!!

to my love!!

I wanted to take a bit of time to tell you about my husband. Seth Becker is the most wonderful man I have had the privilege of knowing and I am so honored that he chose me!! I am a very high maintenance individual...requiring a lot of time and energy. I am not the best homemaker...our house is krazy, dinner doesn't make it to the table as often as it should, laundry piles up...but my Seth loves me and accepts me and HELPS me regardless. He is my rock and has helped me through some of the hardest times of my life. We have made it past great trials already and have seen heart ache and happiness. He makes me a better person and makes me WANT TO BE a better person. He inspires me and makes me laugh. He holds my hand when I want to run and puts up with me at my worst...but chooses to only see my best!! He is my best friend and I'm SO blessed to have him as my eternal companion forever!

Well, Seth turned 27 on October 2nd. We celebrated at his mom's house with the whole family. The food was great and the company was fantastic!! He got an electric saw from everybody!! He loves it!! Now he can make Keaton's sand box before it gets too hot!! I got him tickets to the D-backs game against the Cubbies. He went with an old friend, Jack, and had a great time!! Of course, the D-backs won, which made it even better!!

Happy Birthday again Seth-ee!! We love you!

Life with TWO...CONTINUED

Well, my first post should basically sum things up!! We are doing great here with two. Nikki is "adjusting" to the change and pretty much just manages to keep the kiddos alive for now. I'm sure she will eventually figure out how to clean and get dinner on the table as well...but for now, happy healthy kids are a pretty acceptable start!! :)
Lilee is just a precious addition to our family. She is beginning to show a bit of crabbiness that echos Keat's first few months...but we are refusing to mention the "C" word...colic. We figure the power of positive thinking will keep our happy baby happy. When she isn't grumpy though, she is an absolute doll. She smiles at daddy all the time and can even roll over. We thought it was a fluke, but she's done it 3 times now...she's got to get an early start on things to be able to keep up with her big brother!!
Keaton is adjusting so well to having a new baby sister. Perhaps, better than the rest of us!! He gives her kissesand loves her so much. He is definately taking more of an interest in her now.
Cute sibling story: The other day we ventured out to the zoo. It was my first time with both kiddos. We did pretty well until it was time to leave and Keat showed his age by throwing a great tantrum and Lilee was hungry so she was screaming. FINALLY, we got everyone in the stroller and headed to the car. Lilee was still crying so I asked her if she wanted me to sing to her. Without missing a beat, Keat started to sing..."lalallalalllalaaalal"! It was absolutely adorable. He tries to help out as much as he can and we are grateful for his help!!

Life with TWO

Well...as I begin to write this, Little Miss Lilee has decided to WAKE UP! I swear she has been asleep for a while now...but it isn't until I actually try to do something that she wakes up!! Oh the joys!! :) I will have to write again later!!

She's Heeeeeere!!

What better way to start a blog than with the fantastic news of our newest little bundle of joy!

LILEE RENEE BECKER was born on September 27th at 1:33 am. She is long and lanky at 6lb. 12oz. and 20 in. long. (She actually measured 21 1/4in. at her 1st dr. appt. on Monday).

She definately came into the world on her own terms. My water was broken at 9ish on Wednesday night and, start to finish, we had her within about 4 hours. I didn't even need to push. Unfortunately at the appropriate "pushing" time, I got sick (think puking). Apparently, the force from vomiting pushed her out on her own, and after a routine check, we found that Miss Lilee had arrived...and was waiting in the bed under the covers!!

She has been pretty much a dream since!! Keaton is "adjusting" well. We are having some issues, but hope that with time things settle back in again for him. When he's interested, he loved to give her kisses on her head and see if he can PULL her umbilical cord off. FUN FUN!! :)

We are all easing into life with two kiddos. Seth went back to work on Tuesday and I managed to SURVIVE the day with both of them. I'm hoping things continue to go so well!! Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes on our behalf. We feel so blessed to have such a beautiful healthy baby girl to add to our growing family!!
